The Titans (5-4, 1-0) played at home for the first time this season on Saturday.  The outcome was a 65 -61 victory over Pierce (5-8, 1-1).

TCC controlled the first half and went into halftime up 37- 26.  The titans came out in the second half and built a lead of 18 points behind the guard play of Anngelina Sanchez.  Sanchez had 11 of her 16 points in the first six minutes of the second half. 

Freshman Alexus Grant had a solid performance leading the Titans with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 7 steals. 

Pierce cut the lead to four points following a 4 point play, which included a made 3 pointer and a free throw.

Women's Basketball take 4th Place in Skagit Valley Tournament

The Titans were 2-1 at the Skagit Valley Crossover Tournament this past weekend. After dropping a game to the eventual Tournament Champions Skagit Valley 48-60, Tacoma rallied to win their next two games to place 4th in the Tournament.

Tara Cook led the Titans during their kickoff game against Skagit Valley. She had 15 points. Kalasa Tamaletia scored 11 points, and Sara Quantz scored 13.

On Saturday TCC defeated Wenatchee Valley 53-45 and were led by Sara Quantz and Elaina Trammell who both had 12 points. Kalasa Tamaletia added 11 points.

In the final game on Sunday vs. Pierce, Tacoma won 50-40. Elaina Trammell made the All Tournament team. She scored 16 points and had 10 rebounds. Kalasa Taumaletia had 14 rebounds, and Sara Quantz added 15 points for the Titans.
