Coach Spoja started her career as a TCC Titan in 1992 and received First Team All League honors. She then went to Eastern Washington University on scholarship where she finished her collegiate career. Some of Coach Spoja’s records still stand at Eastern.
Coach Spoja has continued to play volleyball in the Puget Sound region in the competitive Women’s Open bracket in both six-on-six and two-on-two in beach volleyball.
Coach Spoja's women’s team No Limit, won the regional title the last four years and went on to nationals in the ‘A’ Division, finishing strong, ranking first through third in the nation. Coach Spoja is the expected winner in two-on-two sand volleyball tournaments. She has also had many top five finishes in the season finale in Seaside, Oregon. This is where pro teams from California come to compete each year.
Coach Spoja has focused on building a program in which Tacoma Community College players are recruited to play at four-year NCAA Division I and II programs. She is looking for players with strong work ethic, athletic ability, and the desire to learn. Having her players learn what it takes to build a team and rely on each other for success is one of the Coach Spoja's most important goals. With more than ten years of coaching club volleyball, high school volleyball, and starting her career as a student coach at Eastern, has prepared her very well for the task ahead at Tacoma Community College. This is her third year as a lady Titan Coach. Coach Spoja also earned Coach on the Year-Western Region award in 2006.
"We have some outstanding athletes signed on for the 2007-08 season, and are prepared to give the NWAACC volleyball teams a run for their money," said Coach Spoja. "I am very excited of the possibilities and the future for Titan Volleyball. I hope the community comes to support our team and see some amazing volleyball during the season."
Coach Jensen started her volleyball career at Mt. Tahoma High School (86-90) in Tacoma, Washington. She played on the first club volleyball team formed in the area, Tacoma Juniors. She then went on to play Division I Volleyball @ Weber State University (Big Sky Conference) on a full-ride athletic scholarship.
After graduating from Weber State University in 1994 and receiving her Bachelor's Degree, she returned to the Northwest to coach with the Tacoma Juniors Club Volleyball Program. During her 16-year coaching career, she has coached volleyball at the high school, competitive club and college levels. Coach Jensen coached at TCC during the 90s and is excited to be part of the Titan volleyball program again.
Coach Jensen continued to play competitive volleyball joining Coach Spoja on her women’s team No Limit participating in the “A” Division Nationals.
Coach Jensen’s main objective is to provide this community of young women athletes the skills and opportunities that will benefit them both on and off the court. With players that are dedicated to playing at the Division I or II level, she is committed to making that goal a reality.
