McLaughlin's 36 points leads #6 ranked Titans to their 25th straight west region game in 71-68 win over Highline

Behind Mark McLaughlin's 36 points the TCC Men's Basketball team won their 25th straight NWAACC western region game with 71-68 win over Highline. Despite giving up a 15 point first half lead the Titans the held on over the Tbirds.

The Titans (4-0) (12-3) trailed the T-Birds (2-3) (3-11) 62-59 at the 4minute mark despite building a 15 point first half lead before Mark Mclaughlin hit 2 free throws and hit a huge 3 pointer to give the Titans the lead for good at 64-62 with 2:30 to go. Julian Vaughn made a huge defensive play with 22 seconds to go by taking a charge on T-Bird guard Issac Winston with Titans up 68-66. Mark McLaughlin was then fouled and hit 2 free throws to go up 70-66. The Titans then got another big stop and then Dom Williams made 1 of 2 free throws with 4 seconds to go to put The Titans up 71-66 before Issac Winston hit a shot at the buzzer to make the 71-68 final.

McLaughlin was the only Titan in double figures also added a game high 11 rebounds. Josh Lord added 9 points, while Damani Cooley added 7 rebounds.

The Titans whom have not lost a NWAACC West Region game since February of 2010 return to action on Wednesday hosting South Puget Sound at 8:00pm.
