Saturday's contest was entertaining, showcasing the Titans' power. With a firm hold on first place and the best record in the entire NWAACC, these men showed why they are No. 1. The visitors played hard and aggressively, but our Titans proved too much.

Early on, the visiting Clippers managed to jump out on our boys 8-2. Tacoma's Brandon Magee hit a beautiful three-pointer ending their run. A couple of possessions later and sophomore Guard Jordan Coby hit another three, pulling the Titans to within one. Up 19-13, Tacoma's Richard Holmes had an incredible save as he was heading out of bound into the stands. Dominique Williams would recover and hit Kevin Davis for a breathtaking alley oop. On the next possession, Davis followed that performance with another fast break dunk jazzing the Titan crowd. Tacoma's domination began to consume the visiting Clippers. The point difference grew to 24 to end the half, putting the Titans on top 50-26.

Much like the first half, the visitors converted the first few points of the second half. Aggressive play by the Clippers had the Titans frustrated, and their play suffered. Bumbling, rumbling, and tumbling could explain Tacoma's game play through much of the period. The Clippers kept converting off of the Titans' mistakes inching closer and closer.

Finally, the Titans woke up and snapped out of their funk when Tre Tyler hit a three-pointer that slowed the opponent surge. From that point on, it was all Tacoma and all power. Nathanael Walker had a big dunk. An offensive rebound from a missed free throw was put back with dominance by Kevin Davis, although it didn't count. Dominique Williams got a steal and came down for an easy, uncontested lay-up. Jordan Coby with a nice steal, on the fast break, jumped from the 3/4 mark in the key to put down a fierce dunk; it came off the rim, with him hitting the floor hard, as the crowd erupted with a thunderous OOOOHHHH! Another steal, and Geoffrey Mcintosh began to heat up, hitting a big three and energizing the crowd even more. Then, he would come back down the hardwood and hit another big three.

You wanna talk about a finish to the the final seconds, Jerae Johnson brought the ball down court, throwing up a back door alley oop to Marcellis Thomas, who put it down with insane authority, lifting the Titans' score to 101, as the crowd went completely nuts. The final score: Titans 101 Clippers 61. Way to get it done, boys!

Next up for the Titans is an away game against Lower Columbia, with them returning home to face Green River next Saturday.

The Lady Titans had the night off, due to South Puget Sound's inadequate roster, resulting in their forfeiture.
