TCC Athletics Hosts Third Annual Hall of Fame Dinner & Auction

Tacoma Community College will honor former TCC athletics participants at the Third Annual Hall of Fame dinner and auction from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. April 10th at the college's Tacoma campus, Opgaard Student Center, Building 11, 6501 S. 19th St., Tacoma.

Individual honorees include Bob Barnette, Ian Chursky, AJ Fairburn, David Olivier, Robyn Saathoff (Krona), & Lorenzo Rollins. Barnette was the Ellen Pinto outstanding student of the year at TCC and an All NWAACC performer in Men's Basketball & team captain for the '86 NWAACC championship team. Ian Chursky was an all NWAACC performer in Men's soccer. AJ Fairburn was an all NWAACC Performer & Region MVP in Women's Soccer. Robin Saathoff (now Krona) was an all NWAACC performer in Women's Soccer. David Olivier was the 1975 NWAACC Tournament MVP in Men's Basketball. Lorenzo Rollins was the 1994 Region MVP in Men's Basketball and is the schools all time leading scorer. Team honorees include 1986 NWAACC Champions women's and men's basketball, and 1996 NWAACC champion women's soccer.

"Not only is this a great chance to honor former TCC athletes and coaches, but it is also a great opportunity to host an annual get-together of former and current Titans," said Howell.

The Hall of Fame event schedule includes: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. cocktail hour; 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. silent auction; and 7 p.m. dinner (Hall of Fame induction immediately following). The host will be Frank Bosone, Executive Director of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges from 1972-1992 and the keynote speaker will be former TCC Men's Basketball player and current motivational speaker Andrew Gard.

Checks may be made payable to TCC Athletics Foundation. All proceeds support TCC athletic scholarships. Tacoma Community College is a member of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) and offers eight intercollegiate sports programs.
