Tacoma, WA - The TCC Titans won their 2nd Division series in a row going 3-1 against Centralia College. The Titans swept at home, 2-1 and 4-1 and split at Centralia, 2-1 and 10-11.

In the Titans 1st 2 games of the series at home, Titan pitchers dominated the Trailblazer's bats. Andrew Olson held Centralia to 3 hits over 8 1/3 Innings, while only walking 1 and striking out 7. Andrew would give way to David Olson in the 9th after a leadoff hit by Centralia. With 2 outs in the 9th, the Trailblazers got an RBI single to tie the game at 1-1. After a perfect 10th inning by Jeff Larabee, the Titans would push across the winning run as David Olson drew a bases loaded walk to give Larabee his 1st win of the year. Johnny Pagel and Nick Foster had 2 hits apiece for the Titans. In the 2nd game, TCC put up 4 runs in the 4th and that was all the Titans pitchers needed. Matt Bell pitched 5 1/3 innings, giving up 3 hits and no runs to earn the win. David Olson, Nick Foster and JJ Nazzarro each had RBI singles for TCC.

The 2nd day in Centralia started out much like the previous one in Tacoma. David Lidyard turned in a strong performance on the mound to earn the win. Lidyard pitched 7 strong innings, scattering 9 hits, but only giving up 1 run. The offense started strong after Beau Rogers stole 2 bases to get to 3rd base following a lead-off single. He would later score on a Brandon Johnson single. Johnson would also add another run in the 4th with a monster homerun to leftfield. Larabee would hold the Trailblazers scoreless the last 2 innings to earn the save. Going for the sweep, Game 4 turned out to be much different than the previous 3 games in the series. The game was tied 3-3 going into the 4th inning. The Trailblazers would add 4 in the 4th and 4 in the 5th to push their lead to 11-3. But the Titans showed fight in the 6th and after a 3-run, pinch hit homerun by David Olson, TCC cut the lead to 11-10. Unfortunately they couldn't get any closer in the 7th inning and would have to settle for the series win instead of the sweep. Dylan Baker received the loss for the Titans.

"We would have liked the sweep, but we will take a series win. I am proud of how our guys fought back in that last game. That shows we have some fight in us and won't just roll over. I like seeing that," said Head Coach Ryan Mummert.
