Longview, WA - TCC dropped a midweek battle with #1 ranked Lower Columbia last night 5-1. Despite scoring first and taking an early 1-0 lead, LCC came from behind and capitalized on some Tacoma miscues to grab the lead right back. They would not relinquish that lead.

Sophomore ace Colton Brown got the start for Tacoma, but struggled with his command en-route to allowing 3 runs in 2 innings of work. He takes his first loss ofthe season. Jordan Staples came on in relief and pitched 4 solid innings, allowing just 1 run on 4 hits. Terik Gofinch and Sean Santschi each worked one scoreless inning as well.

Offensively, the Titans jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Beau Rogers singled with one out, then moved to second when David Olson was hit by a pitch. Andy Scott then ripped an RBI single to right, plating Rogers. That would be the lone run scored by the Titans on the night.

Ryne Briley and Tony Rossetto each had two hits on the evening for Tacoma.

TCC drops to 2-2 in conference play. LCC moves to 4-0. Tacoma takes on Grays Harbor this coming weekend in a three-game series. Saturday's first pitch is scheduled for 1pm at TCC's Minnitti Field. Games two and three will be in Aberdeen, WA on Sunday, beginning at 1pm as well.
