Tacoma, WA - The 2010 Titans head into conference play this weekend at 5-5 on the young season. After getting off to a hot start, TCC has battled some injuries to key starters, as well as some grade issues to put themselves at an even record after 10 games.

After splitting with defending NWAACC Champions Bellevue, the Titans went 1-3 in the East Region Invitational this past weekend. Once again, Colton Brown was the star. After blanking Bellevue 1-0 the previous weekend, Brown threw 7 no-hit innings against perennial power Columbia Basin, en-route to a 12-0 win for Tacoma. He pushed his overall record to 3-0 on the year. Fellow sophomore Sean Santschi is also putting together an impressive season, racking up 3 saves and still has not allowed an earned run.

Other scores from the East Region Invitational were a 12-7 loss to Blue Mountain, a 10-2 loss to Walla Walla, and a 5-0 loss to Spokane.

Offensively, the Titans are led by freshman designated hitter Brandon Johnson. The 6'3" youngster is hitting .333 with 9 RBI's. Sophomore catcher Tony Rossetto leads the team in average, batting at a .500 clip.

Tacoma opens conference play this Saturday at Mt Tahoma HS versus cross-town rival Pierce College. They return home on Sunday to complete the three-game series with Pierce.
