Tacoma, WA - Freshman sensation Collin Bennett is now a Rainbow Warrior. The 6'1" centerfielder accepted a scholarship offer this past week to join UH for this upcoming season.

Bennett was a 1st Team All Western Division and All NWAACC performer last season, batting .391, with five home runs and 22 RBI's. He also was chosen as a Gold Glove recipient for both the NWAACC and Pacific Division.

Although the signing is at a late date in the academic calendar, the opportunity is a great one for Bennett.

Head Coach Donegal Fergus on the Bennett signing, "We obviously hate to lose Collin at this point in the year, with only a few weeks before our fall camp starts, but I couldn't be more excited for him personally. Hawai'i needed an impact player and they certainly got one in CB. It makes it tough on us to replace him but our job is to get our players to the highest level and there is no more deserving player than Collin of this opportunity. I am so proud of him."
