Titans Earn All Conference Honors

Tacoma, WA - Seven TCC Titans earned All Western Division and/or All NWAACC honors for this past season. Five freshmen and two sophomores made up the list of Tacoma's honorees.

Freshmen Collin Bennett was the most decorated of the bunch, as he earned 1st Team All Western Division and Gold Glove Award in the outfield, and was also named to the 1st Team All NWAACC team and the All NWAACC Gold Glove team. Bennett hit .391 on the season, with 5 home runs and 13 stolen bases.

Fellow freshman Colton Brown garnered 1st Team All Western Division honors on the mound, where he compiled a 7-2 record and a 1.77 ERA, while striking out 74, good for sixth best in the entire NWAACC.

Freshman outfielder Brett Bielec was the Titans' other 1st Team All Western Division player. The Port Orchard product hit .333 on the year with 13 RBI's.

Sophomore catcher Matt Gomes was named to the 2nd Team Western Division roster, after posting a .304 average, 2 home runs, and 16 RBI's. He was also named the Gold Glove catcher for the Western Division.

Freshman Andy Scott was another 2nd Team awardee, and was also named the Gold Glove 3rd baseman for the West. He checked in at .294 for the year.

Sophomore Ashley Scott was the 3rd Titan to be named to the 2nd Team Western Division squad, as a utility player. The South African native both pitched and played third base for TCC, posting an impressive 1.84 ERA, while also batting .288 on the year.

The final member of the Titans' list of award winners is Matt Williams. The freshman from Lakes High earned the nod as the Gold Glove Utility player for the Western Division.
