Tacoma, WA - Three Titan sophomores have accepted scholarship offers to play at 4-year institutions for next season. Justin Thornton, Todd Muecklisch, and Diego Robles have signed letters of intent at Western Oregon University, Lewis-Clark State College, and The College of Idaho, respectively, in the last week.

Thornton, a second baseman from Mt Rainier High in Des Moines, WA, was a 1st Team All Western Division performer and 2nd Team All NWAACC as a freshman. Last season he hit .248 with three home runs and 29 RBI. Western Oregon is a Division II program in Monmouth, OR. The Wolves finished with a record of 39-19 this past season, and captured their 8th straight conference title.

Muecklisch, a shortstop from Thomas Jefferson High in Federal Way, WA, was a 2nd Team All Western Division performer both as a freshman and as a sophomore. Last season he hit .284 with 5 home runs and 26 RBI. He also stole 11 bases. LC State is an NAIA school in Lewiston, ID. The Warriors recently won their 16th National Championship and 3rd in a row, finishing the season with a record of 58-7.

Robles, a third baseman from Caldwell High in Caldwell, ID, was a 1st Team All NWAACC and 1st Team All Western Division award winner this past season. He hit .384 with 7 home runs and 47 RBI on the year. He also batted an astonishing .578 with runners in scoring position. The College of Idaho is an NAIA school in Caldwell, ID. The Coyotes recently concluded their season with their 22nd straight postseason appearance, losing in the Region 1 title game to eventual National Champion Lewis-Clark State College. The Coyotes finished their season with a record of 30-26.
