Tacoma, WA - Sophomore Keith Young has signed a national letter of intent to play for Dakota State University and the Trojan baseball program. The 5'10" right-hander from Foss High School is a starting pitcher for Tacoma, and also plays outfield. He is currently 4-4 on the year, with a 6.65 ERA in 47 1/3 innings pitched. He's also batting .227 with 13 RBIs.

Tacoma Head Coach Donegal Fergus on Keith Young - "Keith is an absolutely great kid to be around and has been a major contributor for us this year, both on the mound, and at the plate. His numbers might not be what he was hoping for from his sophomore season, but he has battled every game and come up with a ton of big hits. He's hitting .412 with runners in scoring position, so that shows you what he's done in clutch situations. I know Keith is going to be a big help out there at DSU, and I wish him nothing but the best."

Young is the latest in a line of Tacoma alumni to travel east to Madison, SD to join Dakota State University. Last season, 4 former Titans became Trojans, including Young's twin brother Kyle. Matt Burpee, Josh Guild, and Jeff Savas are the other three.

Young is the 3rd Titan player to sign a national letter of intent this year. Dan Cox and BA Garner both signed with Hawaii Pacific earlier this fall.
