ABE Enrollment

How do I enroll? Follow these steps…

1. You must be admitted to Tacoma Community College. If you haven’t applied yet:

  • Come to the ABE office (Bldg. 7) to apply in person or
  • Complete the online application.
  • Fill out an Admission application and receive your TCC ID #
  • Please bring a valid picture ID

2.  Take a free assessment test. Come to the ABE Front Desk in Building 7 between 9 am and 3 pm Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday to test. You do not need an appointment. After your testing, you will be scheduled for an orientation. You must reserve your spot as there is a limit of 30 people per orientation session.

3. Attend a mandatory orientation. During orientation you will:

  • Learn about our programs and schedules
  • Learn about college resources
  • Register online

How much does it cost?

Tuition for all adult basic skills programs is $25 per quarter. In addition to tuition, all courses have an additional $1 per credit fee for class materials. Note: Some students may be eligible for tuition assistance.
