ABE Enrollment

How do I enroll? Follow these steps…

1. You must be admitted to Tacoma Community College. If you haven’t applied yet:

  • Come to the ABE office (Bldg. 7) to apply in person or
  • Complete the online application.
  • Fill out an Admission application and receive your TCC ID #
  • Please bring a valid picture ID

2.  Take a free assessment test. Come to the ABE Front Desk in Building 7 between 9 am and 3 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, April 3, 4, 5, 24, 25, and 26. You do not need an appointment. After your testing, you will meet with an advisor or intake specialist who will schedule your orientation. You must reserve your spot as there is a limit of 20 people per orientation session.

3. Attend a mandatory orientation. During orientation you will:

  • Learn about our programs and schedules
  • Learn about college resources
  • Enroll in your classes

How much does it cost?

Tuition for all adult basic skills programs is $25 per quarter. In addition to tuition, all courses have an additional $1 per credit fee for class materials. Note: Some students may be eligible for tuition assistance.
