What can you do with a business degree? Plenty! Majoring in business prepares you to work in a variety of settings including business, government, and nonprofit sectors. The bachelor's degree you earn after transferring to a 4-year can pave the way to positions in entry-level management, public relations, market research or starting and running your own business.

Program Description

TCC offers courses that cover the first 2 years of a typical 4-year college business program (college-level courses) as well as courses to develop skills needed for college-level business courses. (TCC also has a non-transfer, Business Career Training Program.)

TCC offers business programs that specialize in accounting and economics.

Accounting: Many successful business people started in accounting, from business owners to chief executive officers. A bachelor's degree in accounting can lead to a career in public accounting, banking, private industry, entrepreneurship or in the government sector, among many others.

TCC also offers a non-transfer, career training track of accounting.

Economics: An economics degree can open doors in many fields from finance and banking, public policy, sales and marketing, civil service, insurance and actuarial work, and others. The skills and knowledge from economics can apply to other jobs or to your personal life. Learning about interest rates, exchange rates, economic indicators and equity markets can help you make better decisions about investing and obtaining mortgages.
