Application to TCC

Application at least 8 weeks prior to the start of the quarter is recommended to improve registration opportunities in desired classes and to increase the financial aid opportunities. 

Admission to Tacoma Community College (TCC) is available to individuals who are high school graduates or at least 18 years of age. Applicants under 18 years of age who have not graduated from high school may be eligible to enter TCC through the Running Start Program . Other under-age applicants must obtain a written release from the principal of the high school they last attended; admission of under-age applicants is rare and considered on a case-by-case basis. 

Admission Application. Apply in one of the following ways: 

• Complete the Online Application for TCC if you are new to TCC.  Students who are readmitting to TCC may call 253.566.5001 or 253.566.5325 to update their application.
• In person at the Enrollment Services counter in Building 7
• By mail. Call the Information Request Line at 253.566.6086 to request an application.  Send to Tacoma Community College, Enrollment Services, 6501 S. 19th, Tacoma, WA 98466. 
• By FAX. Call 253.566.5001 to have an application faxed to you, then fax it back to the Enrollment Services Office at 253.566.6034. 

After applying for admission, students should review the enrollment process and complete their next enrollment step. Some students may complete a different enrollment process depending upon their academic intent, the program they wish to enter, whether they plan to take online classes only, or other special factors such as waiver status.
