Chi Gamma Chapter Mission
The purpose of Chi Gamma shall be to encourage and foster a spirit of service amongst its members and the surrounding community through fellowship and by leadership. We will accomplish this mission by adhering to the principles of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society of the two-year college.

RELAY FOR LIFE

PROJECT GRADUATION

TCC 2010 Graduation Ceremony: THURSDAY, JUNE10th at 7:00 p.m. at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall.
Participants are encouraged to bring canned food or books for donation at TCC's graduation ceremony. For more information contact PTK officers at ptkclub@tacomacc.edu. You may also drop donations off at the Student Life office upstairs in Bldg. 11 on campus or Bldg 20.
Project Graduation: Feed a Body, Feed a Mind, is a Phi Theta Kappa civic engagement program that encourages community college students to donate canned goods and books to local relief agencies and literacy organizations. Graduates and their families are encouraged to bring their donations to their college commencement ceremonies and other commencement activities.
How do I qualify to become a member of Phi Theta Kappa?
According to the Phi Theta Kappa Chapter Bylaws, each candidate for membership must have completed 12 quarter hours of college-level associate degree course work, with a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship Opportunities
Currently more than 600 colleges and universities in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Canada and Great Britain offer more than $36 million in transfer scholarships to Phi Theta Kappa members. In addition, each year Phi Theta Kappa administers and awards up to $590,000 to students and advisors. These include the Guistwhite Scholarship Program, which awards twenty $5,000 stipends to members for completion of baccalaureate studies. Leaders of Promise scholarships offer thirty $1,000 scholarships to students pursuing an associate degree while enrolled at a community college.
