Our mission is to initiate, develop and support innovative learner-centered strategies and experiences that create purposeful and successful transitions for students at critical junctures along their educational journey.
What can Transition Services do for you?
Service-Learning
Service-learning is a pedagogy that combines volunteer service work with academic course work to help students better understand, engage with and learn from their communities-deepening their learning through reflection on their experience of service.
Our new Service-Learning database will help you to learn more about this important learning opportunity. Click here to go to SLPro.
Internships
Internships provide students a capstone experience and an opportunity to ground their academic and technical skills in real life experiences. Internship opportunities are posted in the Job & Career Center.
A listing of volunteer opportunities is available for those students interested in community service. Community service with a non-profit organization may also qualify for the Students in Service program and enable students to earn an education award up to $2675. If you want to volunteer but are not sure where, come by and take a look at our listings.
