Robert Austin is co-Director of the Student Learning Centers, oversees the Reading and CAL Labs and the Language Center, and is an instructor here at TCC.  Mr. Austin graduated with a B.A. and an M.A. from the University of Washington.  He has 25 years of teaching and administrative experience in adult education and curriculum development.  He recently completed the Kellogg Summer Institute at the National Center for Developmental education and is currently completing a practicum to become a developmental education specialist.  Mr. Austin has been working full time at TCC for ten years and teaches English, Reading, GED Prep, ESL, and Arabic.

Zeyad Al-Aqrabawi

Zeyad has worked in the Student Learning Center as a work study assistant for one year. Recently, he was hired as the Lead Specialist in the Language Center. A current student at TCC, he is working on a transfer degree and hopes to eventually enter medical school. Zeyad coordinates the Language Center schedule and is available to assistant students and faculty with any needs regarding software, equipment, and language sources availale in the Language Center. Zeyad also facilitates the Arabic Conversation Group and is available for tutoring in Arabic.
