In addition to providing a learning friendly space for language classes, the Language Center hosts weekly foreign language conversations and study groups.

Language Center Programs

Language Exchange Project

Are you interested in learning a new language? Would you be willing to help another learn your native language in exchange? Then please apply using the Language Exchange link on the left side of the screen. The Language Exchange Project is open to TCC students, faculty, and staff. The only requirement is a willingness to trade your language skills with another.

Programs

1.   Conversation and Study Groups

Safe, friendly, and casual, Conversation and Study Groups are not classroom instruction. Just show up at designated times and meet others who want to share the same language experience. In most instances, native speakers will be available to lead or participate in group sessions.

2. Language Exchange Project

Interested in practicing a new or second language? Would you like to share your native language with another? If the answer is yes to either question, then you are invited to participate in the Language Exchange Project – “trade” your language for another’s.

3. English Conversation Program

Our English Conversation Partner Program (practice English conversation with a native speaker) matches you with a native English speaker.
