ADJUNCT FACULTY Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences |
The Social Sciences Department recommends the following schedule of courses for students who wish to major in anthropology and earn the Associate in Arts and Sciences (direct transfer) degree. Substitutions may be made for any of these courses, provided that the degree plan is followed for the Arts & Sciences Option A degree. Students should feel free to take anthropology courses in any order, with the exception of courses that have prerequisites (indicated by*). Students should also contact the Anthropology department of their intended transfer institution in order to learn of any special course preferences or requirements which that school may have.

The Washington Community and Technical College system has adopted common course numbers, prefixes and titles for courses that are equivalent at many two year colleges. These changes go into effect Summer Quarter, 2008. The courses and their descriptions are not changing, just the course number and in some cases the prefix and/or title. There are changes to both common courses and non-common courses. Common courses are identified by having an “&” character at the end of the prefix, for example ENGL& or ANTH&. You can see a complete list of all the changes and more information at tacomacc.edu/ccn.
