Internships are optional but are recommended in most areas of interest; except for Law Enforcement. Since most law enforcement agencies require their employees to pass an extensive background check including psychological & polygraph testing, they typically do not offer opportunities for internships, but save this process for actual job applicants.
A Certificate of Achievement is available for students who wish to enhance their careers as working professionals or for persons planning to enter the field. The Certificate requires the completion of 35 credits of ADJ courses.
