TCC’s Information Systems program curriculum provides the technical skills and knowledge for students who plan to enter the field of information security. If you want to be an IT Professional this is an excellent starting point!

Information Systems serves a fast-growing industry that focuses on technical skills, database administration, and networking and cybersecurity. If you enjoy identifying patterns, analyzing complex data sets, and approaching problems in a systematic and logical way, these programs might be right for you.

What We Offer

The program offers certificate pathways that can be taken as stand-alone courses or lead to the Associate in Applied Sciences (AAS) - Specialization in Network & Cybersecurity degree. This degree prepares students to transition successfully into TCC's Advanced Networking & Data Security Bachelor of Applied Science Degree or select Bachelor’s degree programs at Washington State 4-year universities.

Program Description

The program includes technical core courses providing hands-on knowledge and skills in systems, databases, and networking and security concepts. Non-technical courses related to business, project management, and team communication skills give graduates an edge in the workplace.

Advanced course work includes training in database management, Mac, Windows and Linux servers, networking, routing, security, and virtualization. This program also provides industry certifications through Microsoft, COMPTIA, Cisco, and Dell/EMC:

Industry Certifications offered through the Associate of Applied Science degree:

  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Linux+

Industry Certifications earned through the Bachelor of Applied Science degree:

  • CompTIA Security+
  • CompTIA Cloud+
  • CompTIA Cysa+
  • Cisco CCNA
