Non-Smoking Policy

PURPOSE:

To restrict smoking to the parking lots located on the perimeter of campus and to designated smoking shelters only.  This provides smokers a place to smoke and non-smokers a smoke-free learning and working environment.

TO WHOM DOES THIS POLICY APPLY:  This policy applies to all employees, faculty, students, student workers, visitors, and contract employees.  No one is excluded from this policy.

REFERENCES:

Executive Order 88-06.

DEFINITIONS:

Smoking – refers to the inhaling, exhaling, burning or carrying any smoking equipment including cigarettes, cigars, pipes, e-cigarettes or any device that produces smoke, vapor, or any type of emission.

POLICY:

It is the policy of the college that smoking is prohibited in all state facilities, buildings, and vehicles.
